I just bought a used Voere (Germany) hunting rifle on the EE. The action and barrel are in awesome shape, but the stock is made of rather bland wood that would look more at home on a canoe paddle, than a hunting rifle. Since the maker of these rifles is no longer in business, I am wondering about my options for putting a new stock on that rifle. Does anybody know whether any other brand of stock would fit that rifle, or will I have to go the custom stock route.
FYI, the specific model number is unknown, although the action looks identical to the Voere Shikar. The stock is not as nice as the Shikar's, though. It is a 30-06; so it is a standard length action.
