I am looking to restore my dads 1945 Fazerkely Jungle carbine. It is all original with the exception of the front sight completely removed, What are my options for finding a replacement ? I see Numrich has a newly mfgr one that looks good but has an ID of .67" . the turned down portion of dads gun where the old flash hider was is about .605". could a sleeve be made to compensate for the size difference? or is it close enough that some JB weld would do the trick? any ideas?? thanks

Although Numrich is a great place for most part. With no duty, tax, brokerage chargers etc.
Like STG said certain items won't make it past their borders. Muzzle brakes, flash hiders and scopes are a few.
There are a handful of agents throughout Canada that offer an import service, and the good news is that nearly any gun or part can legally cross the Canada-U.S. border with the proper procedure.
If you're willing to pay.
Keep checking EE. You never know when someone is giving up on a restore and you might get lucky.

Making a sleeve could be tough especially with that thin of a wall, buying some shim stock and building it up then brazing/ silver soldering it on might be a better option or thinking about it you could silver solder in a lug of 4140 into the flash hider then bore or ream it out to the O.D of the barrel really depends on skills and equipment available. As for ordering from numrich I would email/phone them first to see if it can be exported. I know when I was refurbing my m1 carbine they wouldn't ship the parts I needed and a stock to me because they were "restricted" yet on their listing they said they would ship to canada then I went to boyds and brownells and had no issues.
