You can legally store a loaded Mag in the same place as your restricted?

Yes, you can.

Ammunition must be stored separately from, or locked up together with, firearms.

A loaded mag locked in a safe beside (but not in) it's firearm is legal.

That brings us to the definition of a "safe" but that's a whole other can of worms

One could argue that anything you can pick up and carry away with ease, is not a "safe".

If i can just grab your honeywell "safe" and take it somewhere to break into at my own leisure doesn't seem safe.
