Im challenging the Restricted course this Sunday buuttt...
I was going through the CFC course book and couldn't find any information on Restricted weapons, apart from the basics.
Does this mean I need to get another book or Is it all classroom stuff I'll be briefed on there.
BTY Frank from SIR is doing the course at the Firing Line in Winnipeg
Any advice guys???

Ask the tester to demonstrate the workings of each pistol before you touch it.

ACTS and Prove every time you pick it up and put it down.
Keep your fingers away from the trigger. Just keep them all on the grip. IRL you would have the trigger finger on the slide etc. but this isn't real life.
Take your time. Use common sense.

Good luck.

ACT & PROVE, say each step out load as you're doing the practical.

Keep the muzzle pointed down range at all times, know how to operate the safety if the gun has one.

Keep the muzzle resting on the table/bench unless asked to raise the firearm.

Keep your finger off the trigger.

As mention by dinsdale above, if you're not familiar with the gun, ask the examiner for a demo.

Don't rush, take your time and think. The written exam is like any other government test...all the answers are in the book. Read it and read again.

Best of Luck.

Thanks for the advice..
I've shot quite a few pistols before and I use my hunting rifles and shotguns all the time so I want to be real careful not to rush anything just because I;m used to doing it as Im sure they are trying to establish that you are methodical in your actions.
PROVE PROVE PROVE and ACTS ACTS ACTS
and Ill DIB DAB DO myself into a licence.
