restricted permit.

Stewie: Restricted firearm qualification is another course and test, or, if you study book($15 approx), and get some training on real or replica handguns, then CHALLENGE test($25 to $35?). Regular PAL is $60, PAL including restricted is $80. Cost of upgrading from one to another I couldn't guess. Ask the CFC. The FN is prohibited and you're not grandfathered, the ar15 is restricted, some other semi-auto milstyle rifles are unrestricted. You may have to join a gunclub(which allows restricted) and pass an Ontario club level handgun safety course before applying for a 1 to 3 year ATT for club use. I believe EOHC has a site with club info and links. Don't give up! cheers.

Should have taken both courses and sent paperwork in at the same time as you only pay the $80ffor both. Now you must pay $60 and then you have to pay the $80 to upgrade.

Getting an ATT is no problem. I called them up and got them to fax the short and long term over to the range. Took a total of twenty minutes from phone call to recieving att.

Must be member of range that allows restricted and restricted licence thats it good to go.

It make take longer. You live in Ontario. It seems that the Ont CFO makes their own rules and works at their own pace
