Has anyone here contemplated trying to save thier restricted shotguns? Making some simple length changes, having it verified and change classification to non-restricted?

I know this is a rotten thing, but if this is a legal option, we could mitigate our losses somewhat?

Any thoughts folks?

yes we did... but in the new legislation it makes no reference to SBS or SBRs.

In the last few years we have seen multiple cases of laws literally changing overnight.
Based on the direction of this current government there is a real risk that this could happen again.

A perfect example of this is what happened to AR's
-If you had a complete rifle registered on the day of the OIC then whenever they figure out confiscation you need to give them a compete rifle or you face the courts
-But if you had updated it to be just a stripped lower then you just need to hand in that lower

without warning everything was frozen and you could no longer change the status so now you are stuck when you could have made changes the day before

If you are talking semi autos I don’t think you’re saving anything. Might mean a couple months more, but ALL semi autos are in Poly’s/the governments sights. Heck, Poly’s latest list has the Browning BAR Mk III hunting rifle on it. Do you think that semi auto shotguns are safe?

Pump shotgun, yes do it.

Get a full length stock, send them pictures and deregister it.

It can be done.

Restricted pump shotguns? That must be pretty damn short considering the Shockwave is NR. I guess those extra short Grizzly's could be Restricted with a PGO, but I can't imagine many went through with that.

Unrelated, anyone seen a Benelli M2 or M4 Entry in stock lately? I'd love a short companion for my M1...

I hear that non-compliance is a lot easier with NR's but I'm not endorsing anything other than full adherence with draconian laws
turn them in now to avoid the rush!

Heck, be proactive and sign the title of your house over the Klaus too.. and have your pickups shipped to China so they can use them to further excel communist economic growth. We only need electric cars (that are fueled with power generated by burning natural gas - natural gas that would be far more efficient if it were internally combusted within the engine of the vehicle..)

Also, have our male athletes forcibly converted into female athletes so we can win at the Olympics.
And have our pregnant fighter pilots teach the communist air forces how to properly dawn a flight suit, while we are at it.

And a few mere months ago no one would have believed we were very soon going to experience this sudden ban on handguns.

Anyone whom was paying attention could see this was coming.
They were just waiting for the right opportunity.
The NR semis will be next.

I would do it myself. I would love an original Stakeout but would likely put a buttstock on it regardless of any potential ban. That’s just me though. Sadly it would likely be a wasted effort as I’m sure they’ll eventually set their sights on short barrel shotguns as well.

Eventually they'll set their sights on single shot Cooeys, get what you want while you can, and figure the rest out later.

Glad I don't have any of those

What restricted shotguns are you referring to? There may be some that are prohibited.
How do you reverse the RCMP decision on something like that? It isn't a barrel length thing, it's how it looks.

He's talking about restricted shotguns not prohibited shotguns.

The one he's talking about can be made non restricted.
