Restricted Transfer?

What is the the wait on a restricted transfer in Ontario right now?

If I buy a gun in B.C. does is go through their CFO or ours here in Ontario. I just notice that it seems to go quicker out west than here.

I just did a purchase from B.C. to Ont about 2 months ago and it had been done in 2 days. I pretty much phoned the second day after doing the transfer request completion and my registration number was waiting for me so I let the seller know right away.

To answer your question, restricted transfers go to the buyer's CFO for approval. So it really doesn't matter what province the seller is in, the speed of the transfer is completely dependent on your CFO....

That is correct, it is the CFO of the buyer's province which reviews it.

From a business, transfers to Ontario have been recently taking only 1 day.
