So, I haven't seen any standard length or short barreled VZ variants out there for a while, only NR barrel length. Did they give up on them now that the 958 (or whatever that fugly thing is called) is coming, or are dealers gun shy to bring them in with the recent reclassification debacle? I don't want a NR length VZ, they're simply not tactical enough (lol) and I have enough NR rifles anyway. Just wondering because I'm going to be getting rid of my AR soon and want to replace it, hopefully with an 11" VZ58 in 7.62x39.

Shouldn't it be arte et marte? Why the ordinance core motto from the Brits?

Nice sig block!!

I just don't know what the attraction of anything restricted in this country is. I know that the longer barrel just doesn't look quite right, but at least you can shoot that thing where you want to.

The Weapons trade within RCEME has 'unofficially' adopted it as their own motto. It's on the new trade coin.

And in NS and NB you can't just go shoot on crown land so it doesn't really make a difference.

Not sure on 11.8" but Armco has a 7.5" for $990 if you're willing to deal with him. Golden Guns & Tackle also has a 7.5" on consignment for $1200.

There's a dolled up 11.8" on the EE, buddy is asking $1350 for it.

Thanks guys. I hate being picky but I'm really stuck on the 11.8", MAYBE the 15" and has to be 7.62x39. That's kind of the number one reason I'm making the switch.

I kinda feel the same way, to me the NR VZ-58's just kind of look a little strange with that extra long barrel sticking out the end. Aesthetically I'm just not quite as fond of them. They are very hard to find it seems but I recently purchased a restricted barreled VZ-58 off of the EE on here. Unfortunately it looks like I might not be able to keep it though as I need to free up some funds, so as much as I don't want to it might be going up for sale before I even got a chance to take it to the range.
