Retail price check and opinions on sig p229

Hi guys. I've been looking at a sig sauer p229 elite stainless with rosewood grips. Anybody have a rough idea what they retail for? Can't find any for sale at site sponsors. Just want to know if the price they're asking is fair?
I've been eyeing this pistol up for about a year now. Lol. Yesterday I made the mistake of holding it.
I must say to hold that pistol in your hand you know just by the feel of it that it's high quality.
Any thoughts or opinions on this pistol from people who own or have owned one would be appreciated.
Here's a pic in case you're not sure of which one I'm referring to. Only difference is extended Canadian legal barrel.

Questar lists them. $1850 range. Seems kind of high.

Don't know about the Elite, but I love my regular 229

Got a P229 nitron, in 9, no malfunctions, at about the 5000 round mark now. Only thing bad about Sigs is their price, but you get what you pay for. Questar has periodic sales, you'd have to order and wait at that point. Don't think I've ever seen Questar stocking one.

I got a P226 stainless myself at epps, about 1400 + taxman.
