I am a retired Infantry officer, former Commanding Officer of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles & have served in 1st Bn The Black Watch, 1st Bn PPCLI, & previously 6 1/2 years in the Royal Canadian Signals. I am 76 years old & have collected antique firearms for over 50 years & have hunted upland game & waterfowl all my life. I originally collected Colt firearms, having had in my collection over 100 pieces, both percussion revolvers, cartridge revolvers, automatic pistols & rifles & shotguns, all made by Colt. Most of these were auctioned off in the States some time ago when our government got goofy over registrations. I also collected British & Canadian Military weapons, but have reduced this collection to Browning High Powered 9 MM's, both Inglis & FN's.
I also restore Canadian Military Pattern vehicles & have done 1942 Ford GPW Jeep, 1942 Harley Davidson WLC, and am working on 1942 Chev Cab 13 CMP C8AX at present. I am interested in trading Inglis Brng's for Dewat Bren Gun, Dewat Sten Gun, Dewat Thompson Sub MG, or selling some Brownings to raise funds for purchasing some of the above.

Great to see you here. it is a great source of info and also a great place to store your time, but you never get any of it back! :)
My father was in the RWR in the 60's I don't know when you were CO but you might have known him.
I do not own a High Power yet, but would love to.
I am also interested in Canadian Military Firearms, but without any prohibited status on my PAL too many of them are out of reach.

Welcome!!

Sounds like a man after my own heart. Welcome to CGN. I shoot a nice T-series Hi Power myself, as much as possible.

Welcome aboard Sir. I share your enthusiasm with respect to the Inglis HiPower. Good luck and good shooting.

Welcome aboard, Sir.

I'm restoring a '61 M38A1 right now. I think it is actually a Charlie or even a Delta model, but I haven't nailed it down as there have been extensive mods to the frame.

Good shooting,

V7
