I do not see many people talking about new browning a5. Actually have not seen it mentioned ever on here which is a suprise.

The browning a5 is the firearm of my youth I can remember my dad had one from the 90s and I use to love that gun although he never let me use it lol. I was very happy to see them reintroduce the model even happier when they came out with the 3.5 " I bought one immediately synthetic.

I have had it a few years now shot a six point buck 3.5 OO buck shot and a few ducks. Took it to the range destroyed skeets with it love the gun no issues.

Pros.

light easy to carry, great point ability, very reliable.

Cons
I bought the 28" feels very long not great for thick bush. Does not shoot slugs all that great could be me though maybe I need to have more practice with the gun.

The reintroduction was a namesake only. The new A5 is a very different gun then your dads old long recoil action Auto 5. Nice gun nonetheless, but I prefer the Silver and Maxus semi's

Still has that humpback design that makes it easy to point. I had a gold about ten years ago did not like it. Sold after a season

I have owned the 3"model . Since 2013 several thousand rounds through it . over all a good gun . The long receiver does make it point nice . I also like the palm swell grip . How ever it does have stiffer recoil than my 6 year old Maxus . which is my go to waterfowl gun .

I read a lot about the Maxus never really liked the shape of it but has tons of rave reviews.
