Recently I wanted to try out red dot on my pistols just to learn how it works. So, I didn't want to spend all the money to have the slides milled on all the pistols just for that. After much research, I came cross IMI Defense's Universal Pistol Mount. After trying it out with a $20 red dot from ebay, I am very happy with how it performed and thought I would share my experience here in case others are interested in something like this.
1. Brand. This is made by IMI Defense which is a well-known brand for many things. So, that set it apart from all other similar no name production on the market. the stock picture is on the company's web site as below.

2. Build. It's lightweight polymer, but very well-made, truly universal mount for any pistol that has a picatinny rail. I can use it on all my pistols, except 3 that don't have rail(revolvers and 1911 officer). Even the Glock 30S can lock onto it solid with 1 slot, but since the gun is too small, the mount sticks out of the front too much, so I don't want to use it in case of the flash burns it or something.
3. Performance. It's well-designed and well-fitted with different pistols, and also not blocking any control or ejection ports. I have tried it on MP40/G22/CZ75 SP01 Tactical/PPQ M2/Sig P226/HK30/Glock 41. All fit very snug. During the test shots(150 rounds), I mounted/un-mounted it multiple times and the red dot always stayed true which means both the mount and red dot worked very well.
So, for the price, I would rate it as 5 out 5.
