I got this all metal[except grips] Replica of a Walther P38
a few days ago.It cost me 64 dollars plus tax.My first impression is that it is a small pistol with a lot of heft.It loads 19 BB's from a magazine that goes up into handle.
It is powered by CO2 and is a non-blowback design.Double action only for the trigger with a smooth long pull.I first tried it with Crosman Copperhead BB's..Those things are total garbage.I threw out half of them because of the pitting and the other half shot a grouping like a shotgun pattern..Things worked out a lot better with RWS match grade BB's with a grouping of about 1.5 inch at 25 feet shooting freehand..I still got the odd flyer but most shots grouped nicely..Sights are fixed so this is no target gun..For plinking and shooting indoors it is an ideal little shooter with about 120 shots per powerlet.BB's are as well cheap compared to imported pellets, so it is an ideal tool to keep up with our shooting practice during these cold bleak winter months.I'm glad Crosman is keeping up their old tradition of building us some metal guns..Some of their new models are too plasticky for my tastes..I recommend this Model C41, as one of the better budget priced models from Crosman.[The slide is moveable to give the feeling of the real gun but does nothing otherwise.I put a drop of white porcelain on the front sight to help with target acquisition.]
