Hey everyone,
I just received my ASR from Bullseye London yesterday.
Today I was able to take it to a range in Waterloo to put some rounds through it.
I didn't get to put as many through as I was hoping for but still roughly 100 rounds.

I noticed their weren't many (if any) reviews of this rifle online and so I decided that I will write one up.
I am no expert of firearms but I was able to shoot the Kel Tec Sub2000 in 9mm as well today to compare.

Build Quality: This firearm was built wonderfully. The quality of metal is superb. The finish I have is the dark earth (tan) and its a very clean and well built rifle. The rifle is noticeably heavier compared to the Kel Tec, but I felt more comfortable with the quality of product.

Accuracy: The range limit was 25 yards and I was experiencing about .5-.7MOA at 25 yards right out of the box. This was above my expectations. I was using American Eagle 124gr as well as 147gr ammo (i never tried the 115gr). I noticed that the 115gr was slightly more accurate.

Reliability: The one thing I noticed online on youtube was that the feeding was sometimes poor and stove pipping was common. Although i experienced that a few times today I feel it was due to the magazine and just it being a new gun. In the last 40 rounds I never experienced an issue, I varied from rapid fire to single shot.

All in all I am very pleased with the purchase and for anyone consider a 9mm pistol carbine, the extra cost of this rifle compared to a kel tec in my opinion is worth it.

Pics no worky for me, but it does sound good.
As for accuracy, just making sure I'm reading you right; .5moa at 25yd is .125, is it really that good or did you mean .5 inch?
Half inch at 25yd is some damn fine shooting.

.5 inch sorry..... I was very pleased with the accuracy with the scope that came with it.

Very good to hear.

I may want to get my grubby hands on a pistol version and make a sweet little smg out of it

Yeah the pistol version when it comes to Canada will be interesting.... hopefully it is a different barrel then the non restricted model

A buddy tried shooting some norinco stuff in mine, I noticed it would FTE once in a while, say once every other magazine. I've shot 2 or 3 other brands, including reloads with several powders, cast and jacketed, all of which have functioned very well. I really like my ASR, I'm glad I held off from getting the Sub2k. Although I find the pistol carbine the least useful type of firearm in my collection, it is a lot of fun to shoot. The only change that I must make if I keep it for a long while is I must add iron sights. Perhaps there are AR barrel parts that could be adapted to the ASR barrel for a front sight post. Haven't had a chance to research it yet.

That's what I was thinking. If only it supported an AR for end. I guess that do away with easy take down. A tiny red dot like the bushnell trs25 or similar would do the trick though.

Nice review!

Got mine and shot mine yesterday.

FTE on the third round with steel case Barnaul fmj 115gr but no issues with the next 47.
Shot 50 rounds of 147gr wolf reloads with no issues.

I think I want a red dot though to maximize on its 'packability'.
I think this would actually be the perfect rifle for a See All.

Mine is dark earth and the finish is nice. I may look into painting the barrel though. Any advice on what to use?

Iron sights would be awesome but i did put a red dot on it to see what the difference would be and I love the red dot on it, great packability as well.

Took it out and did some shooting in the bush. This thing is quieter than my 10/22 using the 147gr wolf reloads.

UPDATE: Just wanted to give our followers an update on the testing of new calibers for our Survival Rifle and Pistol. In the last couple days we have had some successful tests in .22 LR, 10mm, and .357 SIG. We still don't have a time frame for availability but tests are going very well. Check back here at the end of summer for more updates.

Good news.

I got mine on Monday and got it out to the range on Tues. I personally didn't get to shoot it much but my nephews and my daughter shot 50 rds of S&B 124 gr. They loved it! No failures at all using an aftermarket mag. The scope is not too bad but I plan on putting a decent red dot on it. I really like this gun.

Where did you purchase the gun from ? im looking for a Dark earth one, but can only find black ones in stock ?

Anyone have any experience with the bolt damaging the follower after the last round? Tnw told me to mod the followers but I don't hear of anyone else having this issue
