At long last I was able to get around to writing a review on a product from one of Canada's most popular chassis makers - and now makers of precision rifles !

The Cadex chassis I'm reviewing is the Cadex Field OT that I housed a .260 custom Remington 700 in.

What did I think ? Well the take away message is overall very positive but I encourage interested readers to check out the full ( long and lots of pics ) review at my blog:

If you are going to review something and your on CGN have the decency to give the review here. Instead of pushing your blog. You have had great articles here. But now?

Hi Delta1 and others - so here is the deal: I write for fun - actually I pay to have a blog and don't get a cent of reward and, besides, nobody has to read my stuff anyway. I have on here been criticized for writing articles that are too long and having pics that are too big so I decided to keep all my stuff in one place and give just a highlighter here on CGN and then if someone is interested in that story or review they can go visit the big article. Note, there are no adverts there.

If the admins want me to, I will happily remove the blog address. Meanwhile I look forward to reading something you write................. Oh, yeah, in ten years you have written lots of questions but the grand total of zero reviews or range reports. That's really adding value buddy. Cheers !

Bob nice review. I enjoy your blog as well. You can't make everyone happy unfortunately. You know what they say, " If the troops are not #####ing or whining, they are not happy".

In the more than 10 years I have been here I have spent many thousands of dollars from the good folks that advertise here. They pay to keep the site up and running. I probably spent near as much from other folks in the EE.
And no I do not write reviews nor would if i did send you or anyone else of site if i did. Nor do I need to stroke my ego by saying so.

Thanks for the support old buddy - it's appreciated. I spend over a grand of my own money, write a whole load of stuff and get the ' but it's not all here for me, I have to go somewhere else' comment. Mmmm, I guess you know how I feel :)

Based on the sentence structure of the forgoing it is, perhaps, best if you carry on supporting the firearms community by way of purchases rather than by way of any form of written contribution. Incidentally, since you raise the issue of spending money on firearms purchases, the past month saw me buy: Timberwolf, M40, M40A1, Rem 700P, Leupold Mk4, Vortex and some other stuff I'm sure .... oh, yes, the darn chassis you have your knickers in such a twist about because you have to go somewhere else to read all about it !- Each of these purchases came from the EE or sponsors of this website. Four of the purchases were reviewed and readers of this website had a chance to read about them - all for free, yay ! I'm sure you can do simple arithmetic. Have a great day and work on that writing stuff eh.

Sorry my spelling isn't up to your standards. Been around for near seventy years left school in the early grades to help out the family.Spent time in the service, raised some good kids.
Just never had the time or energy in all that to stroke my ego. Its to bad your ego needs the " look how much i spent, What i have for toys and how come i'm under appreciated.
Copy and paste to much for you?

delta1 - My apologies for making fun of a mangled sentence or two. We all make mistakes and my writing is often replete with them.

Like you, I spent time in the service of Her Majesty and raised a family and now the career stuff is in the rear mirror I write because I am passionate about gun stuff and I like to share my thoughts with other people for whom firearms are important to their personal culture. Sorry you think it's offensive to give a highlighter here on CGN and give people the option of visiting a blog to dig deeper into an article. Have a good day and thank for your Service.

Tomochan, I have really appreciated your reviews. In particular your scope reviews and advice have helped to steer me in the right direction. (Based largely on your recommendation, when it was time to replace my Viper PST, it was replaced by a Sightron SIII 8-32x56, and I couldn't be happier.) For those of us who read your reviews, two things happen. A lot of our questions are answered but we get a whole new list of questions.

Thanks for the reviews.

Tomochan Thank you for your service. I'm a crotchety old bugger and some things have a way of setting me off. I am used to reading your reviews on site and have enjoyed doing so. Your reviews have sent me to a couple of vendors. I just think that if we get away from reading on site. Soon we are looking elsewhere for our information and that is fine if it cannot be found here.
Regards

Thanks for the review.

I'd be curious for your review of the HS3 with a PRS stock. I think that the HS3 and Field OT are in similar classes and would make for a good comparative review.
