Hello, I have a Benelli clone that has had a few minor issues (working through them). Howeve, when I cleaned it after about 75 I noted the bolt carrier is striking the rear of the recieved denting it. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Thanks,
Ryan

Id advise to stop shooting that immediately. Going through the same issue. The bolt carrier will eventually crack and fail. Same company, different model (same design)

I have 150-200 1oz target loads through mine. The linkage bar is destroyed. The bolt carrier has chunks out of it, cracked, etc. The receiver has worse chunks out of it then yours.

Its common for the bolt to crack and split in two. Sometimes you get lucky and it just falls out of the gun, other times it misfires and explodes out the side.

Hey I just checked one of mine mine out, 1500 rounds and no such dents there.

My guess is, there's something wrong with the link bar or recoil tube/spring interface (back half of the action).

If these parts are in good working order, there's no way the bolt carrier should be able to strike the receiver like this.

Thank your for the replies, I'm reaching out to the store I purchased it from. When you get a chance the pics would be very helpful!

Thanks again,
Ryan

As far as dealing with them for replacements, zero issue. Wasn't a back and fourth thing, or any blame anywhere.

Relatively little use 300-400 shells, and this was at the second cleaning. I need to take it back apart and measure the parts compared to the new ones. Im thinking the action bar is to long.

Update: Barry at Revolution Armory was great to deal with. He replaced the shotgun and is looking into what was causing it.

Thanks!
