I just got a new Ruger GP100 and occasionanly when I try to pull the trigger the cylinder will not rotate and therefore the trigger will not move. I have to release the trigger move the cylinder and then it works fine. It only happens when I am pulling trigger muliple times and fast while dry firing and later on with live rounds when it gets a bit dirty (about 100 rounds). Does anyone know what may cause this?

Thanks

If it happens during rapid fire, there is a possibility that you are not letting the trigger travel all the way forward before starting the subsequent pull. If you do not think this is an issue, it sounds like there is a timing problem.

Thanks to both, I tried dry firing rapidly making sure to fully remove my finger from trigger and the problem did not occur. I am glad to hear that this will likely fade away as I put more rounds through it.
