It seems a LOT of guys are using AR15 RRA Cantilever or Burris PEPR-type mountson the RFB. I tried one on a buddy's RFB and honestly, I felt the mount put the optics a bit too high without aadding a cheek rest. It also puts the scope un-necessarily high over hte bore axis.

I'm curious what most users who have NOT opted for a cantilever PEPR-type Ar mount areusing for rings on the RFB to get the scope a bit lower.

Anyone?

I have a pepr mount with a 1-4 scope. With a kydex cheek rest its the perfect height. But I think without the cheekrest it would be just too high

I went with an ARMS 35 mount with 35M rings... I have a Elite 6500 1.25-8x32 on it, it is my deer gun after all... Heh heh heh

Cheers

out of curiosity, if it's a hunting rifle to you, why did you go with a QD mount like the 35? Why not just use rings without a base?

Is there any reason standard medium rings won't work on an RFB? I've noticed the popularity of cantilever mounts too and don't really understand it.

Top rail too short for proper eye relief maybe?

I tried the pepr mount and I found it was a little high for my liking and I find a normal length scope just looks funny to me on such a short gun so I went with an acog.

Because it will also go on my Tavor if I wanted... But, I like the setup so much, that I just put another set on my Tavor... Both my bullpups wear the same base, rings & scope...

An ACOG huh? Wow... I tried my TA01-NSN on it and the eye relief was so short, I took it off before firing a single shot. I was worried it would cut my eye socket under recoil.

They are generally intended for a low-recoil .223 methinks.

I found the height with the Burris mount and a fullfield 2 3-9x to be perfect. The ring heights I had were too low or too high. Oh and you can swap the optics with Tavor or AR.
