Ok...............

- where can one find these Rhindland Arms .22? I know they had problems awhile back... have these issues been addressed? Where can one buy one in Canada?

- how is the accuracy of the kinker plinker? Any known problems with these?

Just curious..............

My R22 works like a charm, but I don't hear from a lot of ahppy owners.

As for the reliabilty of the Krinker, it's as reliable as the 10/22 you build it on.

Depends what you want it for... Accuracy? Go with the R22. Plinking? Go with the Krinker.

Now for my question... are there any R22 owners who obtained the replacement bolts from TSE and didn't have their problems solved? And if so, do you want to sell me the replacement bolt? I was unable to get one beofre they were gone....(don't ask)

Sorry for the Hijack.... but at least I contributed:redface:

The Krink is nice, and some of the parts are just ak74 ones,so handguards, muzzle brakes and grips can be replaced cheap,As far as a shooter, the barrels are good and accurate

Is the R22 still available in Canada?
As far as I know the R22 is not carried by TSE anymore, mine works fine with the right ammo, the premium stuff from Federal feeds just fine. Some people have had problems with this rifle however.

My R22 works and shoots like a dream.:D I benched it last week at 50yds and with some Eley Target - all five shots were touching. I have the heavy barrel and the gun it self weighs in more that my Garand . Its the most accurate semi I own. Nice thing is you can trick it out with all sorts of wonderfull toys. TSE should really reconsider carry them and their new Sd as well as some of their way cool chassis's.

This is a 2nd generation R22. I added the collapsable stock and some accessory rails so I could weigh it down even more with a tac light, laser, vertical grip and bipod. Now all I need is somebody to carry it into the range for me.:p

I have 6 here in pieces that I cannot get to work at all. RA keeps saying they will send parts but it has been over 8 months and nothing. No way we will ever do this stuff again. Failure rate is too high, support is too low.

Might be bolt/barrel misalignment as on mine ( now fixed).
The bolts on some of them are to high in a chamber causing the cartridge rim to slide down on chambering and losing contact with extractor.
Tilting the left side of the bolt down ( flat steel insert at the left top of the chamber + some material removed from the left bottom of the bolt to compensate) usually solves the problem. Mine shoots like a dream now.

My 8" Krinker would rarely cycle with regular grade ammo even though the extractor was replaced with a volquartsen. Had to use high velocity stingers to make it work. Using the 18" ruger barrel it didn't matter which ammo was used, so you may want to take those issues into account.

Wow Odd, All I cycled out of my Krinker was thunderbolts and AE lead bullets. I only had problems with my mags, never the ammo.

Huh.... Anybody have any ideas what I could try changing next to get the AE ammo to work?
Heat treat or replace the recoil spring and make it a little softer, make sure you have a bolt buffer in there or your bolt will slam into the stopper hard! My spring is really soft(beat up i guess) and allows the gun to cycle anything

replacement spring= SSS SpeedLock CS 10/22 Operating Spring .Google it,it's available from hawktech

If your trying to decide I would definitely get a R22, they don't look any meaner than a R22. From the reactions I've seen at the range with this, most wish they had a R22 rather than a 10/22 or Krinker. When working good it's great fun. but beware when not working, can be a pain. Love my R22

It's an UMP foldable stock with a modified MP5 mount that I got overseas. I had to open up the end of the stock that slips over the end of the rifle and redrill the mounting holes to make it fit. This stock added alittle more length to the R22, like a 1/4 or 1/2 inch. Even with it folded the R22 is still operational. I like it, it's much higher quality than the factory R22 stock. It's made of a composite material and the top edge and butt end of the stock has rubber pads on them. Also it has a detachable sling mount on the left side. If your intrested I maybe able to get another.
