Hey there,
I was thinking of getting one of those stock sets for the 10/22 from Rhineland Arms, and was wondering if anyone has one and what they think of it.

I had one, sold it. It was great tho. Required minor fitting. The rifle sits quite low on your shoulder with this stock tho. Very hard to use the iron sights with this stock. I used a tall VQ mount and High rings to see my targets.

Very nifty add on tho. And it you can drill and tap holes you can mount whatever your imagination can come up with.

The cons are that you cant put a solid stock on, it has to be the sliding butt, and you cant use one of the fancier pistol grips that has a kind of a beaver tail to it. Just a standard or tango down type grip will work.

Al that said. Very cool toy

Search for rhineland arms..

They have a spotty history with guns and parts... TSE was selling their products but won't anymore becuase of the problems with the R22's...

Good luck if you decide to get one...

Ya, I heard the R22 series had some issues, and ya the 10/22 stocks do appear they would sit low. High rings would probably be necessary. Just curious though why you sold it? Was the whole stock made of aluminum, or just the frame area?
Their 1022R, the new 1022SD, and even the new 1022sub-zero look pretty cool if you're into the more radical looking ones.

Yes, their newer stuff lookin incredible.

I sold it because it was my ex's gun. And I like my hogue stock.

And yes, the entire stock is made of aluminum. The stock consits of the threaded socket you would screw your buffer tube into and the extension for threading your grip onto. The construction is a solid piece of aluminum all the way forward from there. It is machined from a solid block. You can get them unfinished and black.

Would be cool to see an anodized one.
