I've been trying to get through to these guys for two weeks now. I cannot seem to get through. All I get is all lines are busy message.

I'm looking for a laminate stock for a Stevens 200 SA. Boyd's seems to only carry finished stocks (Savage 10 blind mag). Some people on here have purchased stocks from Boyds and they sure look good.

It is tough to find a decent stock these days or is it just me?

O.

depending on what you are asking for you might be waiting 6 months. their quality has definately improved with better inletting and smoother exteriors meaning less finish sanding.

I actually placed an order about a year ago, got a confirmation number and a confirmation phone call, but...

Was never charged to my Visa, never shipped, and I haven't been able to get a call or e-mail back since...

What # are you calling?
there are two
818-767-6097-ext3
800-895-7420 ext3
I called the second one yesterday and got a operator right away

they can be a bit frustrating, but once you get the stock, at that price it is worth it. Here is my Stevens 200 with a RM Safari Classic pepper lam.

Swifty: Can you post a pic of the other side of your stock and maybe a close up?

I looked at their pics online, but it is not the same as looking at an acutal finished one. What did you do to finish it?

will add some pics for you tommorow. As far as finishing, i hit it with a palm sander for a bit to get out the more obvious tool marks, then hand sanded it with 120 grit, then 240. I then got myself a birchwood casey finishing kit and followed the instructions that came with. The foreend was cut square, so i also chopped that back to a comfortable length and shaped it with a belt sander.

hey swifty
Did it come with the recoil pad or did you have to pay extra for it? I know the boyds ones come with one at no extra charge , But then again you cant get the boyds unfinished any more :(
