Looking at dropping a Rifle Basix Trigger kit (SAV-RAT) into my Savage Mark II BTVLSS with accutrigger. Have you done this to your Savage Mark II or any of your rimfires? What are your thoughts? Do you like? Is it worth the price?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks!

Thought about it but couldn't justify buying a trigger that cost almost as much as the rifle so I sold the rifle and bought another CZ 452

I think that trigger is real a short fall for savage, if they put another couple bucks into the manuafacturing of it and tightened the tollerances I might consider trying another.

The savage replacement trigger is about $85USD.

Not sure about the rimfire but added a rifle Basix sav-2 trigger to replace an accutrigger in a cf. and am quite happy with it, not quite a Jewel, but at 4 oz. it didn't cost half as much as a Jewel.

I have never used the Rifle Basix kit in the Savage rifles but I have used them in a number of Remington rifles. They are great triggers - they are my favorite aftermarket trigger. They aren't a jewell but they don't cost an arm or leg either...

I don't understand why the rimfire AccuTrigger replacement trigger (SAV-RAT) at RifleBasix has a minimum trigger pull of 1.25lbs and the centerfire is 4oz..

The centerfire trigger actually moves the pivot point for more mechanical advantage, thus a lighter pull.

I have an RB trigger in my pre-accutrigger MkII and couldn't be happier. Couldn't tell you the pull weight though, no scale. It is light and crisp, but not enough to be scary.
