thinking about ordering a rifle basix brand aftermarket trigger for my marlin 917, was wondering if anyone has any good or bad thoughts about these guys, or even better if anyone has personal experience with one of these triggers, whether for the marlin or any other gun.

I have one on a 917. I was disappointed that one of the first things that you read in the instructions is that they do not encourage you to use your safety after you install the Basix. My safety did not work after installation. I am no gunsmith and I am having trouble getting it set at a good breaking rate. It is so light that sometimes the rifle discharges when I close the bolt. I am going to try to get it set better but with its present trigger pull I can shoot the eye out of a sparrow, literally.

So my problem with the product is the disabling of the safety and very basic instructions and diagrams that don't offer trouble-shooting solutions just installation. But if you want a light trigger I can reccomend it. Just sharing my experience............

Rifle Basix

I installed one on my 917 and the trigger pull is much lighter, but I still find there is some creep to it - has anyone else found this and is there a way to adjust for the creep?
