Ive been looking at different rifle barrels and most of what i find is mostly premium barrels that cost 400 to 500 bucks any alternative barrel suppliers in canada that sells cheaper barrels for hunting? nothing high end but decent barrel?

Thanks

The easiest way is to buy used match barrels that are no good for top shelf accuracy, but good enough for varminting/hunting.
You'll probably have to turn them to a different profile on a lathe for hunting contours.

Some of them bought rifles but only want the action. They sell unfired factory barrels on EE. Could be $75 to $200

Caution: Remington barrel will not fit Savage action and vice versa due to different thread. May have to chop it off and re-thread it.

Google Green Mountain Barrels. Then contact bitsofpieces.com It will cost about half the price of most commercial barrels available in Canada. I have never had any issues with GM barrels and it doesn't seem that the US and other military contractors they build barrels for have issues either.

If you want quality barrels there are some very good Canadian manufacturers and their offerings are worth every penny as well as being guaranteed for tight specs and quality.

Unless you fit and chamber your own barrels it will cost about $250 for the work plus $400 for the barrel for $650. If you get a barrel for $250 ( some chrome moly barrels cost this) it will now cost $500 so you have to decide if saving $150 is worth a lesser barrel. As mentioned the least expensive barrels are takeoffs from people building custom rifles which will function fine for hunting purposes but still will probably require some $$to fit and headspace the barrel.

Where can I get a barrel cut/threaded/chambered/profiled for $250 please?
