Rifle BRAKE

Well firstly thank the Lord that someone can spell properly ! Now to the question: I think you will have quite some luck with a Grizzly brake from Grizzly Gunworks ( simply Google that name for website as hotlinking is frowned upon ).

I'm assuming you meant that the OP used the correct homophone brake as opposed to break? That would not be considered a spelling error.

As for a good brake, have a look at the PWS Precision Rifle Compensator supports up to 338cal. There are no ports on the underside and gasses are vented off to the side and up.

No ports on top or bottom, sides only... looks good on fat barrels..

Indeed, it was homophone to which I was referring but I suspect that finer points of the English language (or, indeed, honking great points of language ) are lost on those who use the term break instead of brake. I figure they just can't spell :)

I really liked my badger brake, it was very effective on my Lapua mag, never had dust or debris issues. On my police contoured barrel, I did have to turn out the brake inlet a little to get to the threads. If you don't need to do that, it's a bolt on.

I have been installing a lot of customer supplied Terminator brakes. Two fellows have about 3 each...

I bought a Defcon-1 from Grizzly Gun works, installed on a 308. Drops the recoil down to 223 levels, gasses go out to the sides and up. Canadian made so it was easy to order. IIRC it was about a month from order to delivery.
