rifle cleaning rods

Dewey coated rods. Con is the pistol rod coating got stripped pretty easily. Rifle rods still seem good. I hear good things 'bout the Tiptons too but Deweys are made in the USA AFAIK.

I have been using Parker Hale one piece rods for 50 years... made adapters to use American brushes...

The brand name on the handle says "Kleen Bore" - polished metal - maybe stainless?? Has ball bearings in handle so brush or jag will rotate with the riflings. But at least 20 years since I bought it - have not had to find a replacement since then, so what would I know about what is available today??

With no disrespect intended if your cleaning rods show wear you have damaged at least one barrel.

I know it wasn’t intended

Meant more that the carbon fiber holding up to solvents, everyone seems to use steel rods in this thread, I don't think carbon fiber would do any damage to steel regardless.
I have one shorter blue painted steel rod, but don't use it much, some solvents melt the paint off it.
