G'day gents.

I'm probably posting in the wrong area but seeing as how there are so many COLLECTORS in here..

What are the legal requirements for display of a functional fire-arm?

Trigger lock? Bolt removed?

Chained to a floor joist, under constant guard by 7 hungry german shepherds behind a locked steel door?

Thanks for any tips :)

Why speculate?

Right from the horse's mouth: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/storage-entreposage-eng.htm

Non-restricted firearms

Attach secure locking devices to the firearms; or
Lock the firearms in a cabinet, container or room that is difficult to break into.

Restricted and prohibited firearms

Attach secure locking devices to the firearms; and
Securely attach them to something that cannot be moved.
For automatic firearms, also remove the bolts or bolt carriers (if removable) and lock them in a separate room that is difficult to break into.

There might also be provincial, municipal, strata, etc storage requirements, so google appropriately.

Trigger lock and away I go. Thank you very much for the information and reference.

you asked WHY speculate.. well.. I have problems dealing with govmt webpages! I'm glad there are helpful types in here :)
