Rifle length handguard on 14.5" Norinco

Like so many others on here lately I have ordered one of the $700 Norinco AR's and am brand new to the AR camp. I was wondering if somebody could tell me what would be needed to put a rifle length hand guard onto the 14.5" barrel?

Would also love to see pics of a 14.5" barrel with rifle length hand guards installed. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what I want before I order parts. Thanks for your help!

Ok I did much in the way of searching the interwebs and this is what I've found. I cannot guarantee they are all 14.5 with a 12" hand guard but they should be pretty damn close!

Pretty easy if you're going to a free float rail, you can either replace the front sight/gas block or you can cut the front sight posts off the existing gas block to clear the rail. You'll need to cut the Delta ring off too, but if you have a Dremel there's not much to it.

Where did you get the quad rail and clone ACOG? That is the setup I am looking for.

Marstar used to carry both. Bought my clone ACOG and an happy with it. Just a note though, on the bottom of the quick release mount there is a screw that needs some blue Loctite. This will save you some time when it comes loose like mine did. Blue Loctite rules!

Thanks for the link. That is a good option but I want to lose the front sight and go with a flip up BUIS.
