Hello,

Just have question to the community. I’m considering an AR platform to have some fun and learn something new shooting up to 300 m mostly (occasionally up to 500), sort of Service rifle game, may be CQB later, no plans to compete for now. Rifle will be scoped, used with 55 and 62 gr ammo, and I want accurate equipment if possible.

I’m debating following rifles:
- DD M4V7
- RRA LAR-15 Delta

DD has raving reviews and highly recommended in that forum, has 1:7 twist, NATO chamber. My concern would be trigger, if it’s more like military grade and probably needs to be replaced, extra $300, I guess ?
RRA has very few reviews, often referred to upper models with SS barrel based on accuracy. This one has 2-stage trigger, 1 MOA accuracy, WYLDE chamber, looks to be good just out of the box. My question is about quality of this rifle itself.

Would appreciate if somebody provides expert feedback, especially regarding RRA model.

I have the DDM4V7. Replaced the trigger with an ALG ACT trigger (50$) and I now have a system I love to shoot and the utmost confidence in. So 1550 for the rifle plus 50$ trigger you get a sweet light system. The only thing I would change if I did it again would be to get the LW version. It just feels a lot nicer!

Where did you get that trigger ?
And did you run any formal accuracy test for your DD ?

Thanks !

Arms East carries ALG Combat Trigger (ACT model) for $78.

ALG also make a slightly cheaper one called the QMS trigger for around $50.

Decided and ordered DD.
Now I need mounts for the scope. Could anybody educate me and give several options please ?
I noticed that there are two separate rings, two rings at one platform. What is better ?
Why people need QD mounts ?
Sorry for probably obvious questions, just new for that platform.

Thanks in advance.

buy a cheap lower and build a nice upper. I never go for factory guns if its accuracy you want.

rings don't mean much on a .223. but you have to make sure they are high ones so your scope lines up with your eye.
