Rifle optic for short distance stages

Thinking of getting a better dot for stages that won't have paper beyond 80 and smaller targets staying within 25-30yd range. While my M21 is a great battlesight, it's not a competition optic, so I will probably just relegate it to spare use. What would you guys run if speed is the main concern? C-more? (what size dot?) Something else? Thanks in advance.. On a shopping spree to get fully equipped while I still can

Thanks. While I like both options for other uses, I find the Eo reticle to be a bit busy under certain circumstances and also a bit of a hog. Aimpoint might be a bit small diameter-wise..

What do you guys think about the RTS in 3MOA?

Edit: I'm also open to other equivalents in the same form factor as the C-More stuff, but with a plain 3-4MOA dot, that's crisp and if the light adjustment has a good range, of course. Ideally running on 2032's

Edit 2: Vortex Razor seems to fit the bill. Another one might be Delta Point.. Any thoughts on those? Any other suggestions?

I'd stay away from the RTS2 from Cmore, still having issues with them turning off in the middle of stages on open guns.

I started with a Cmore slide ride on my AR but as we started to stretch out the distances we shoot sighting in became an issue, with no click adjustment it's a pain guesstimating adjustments. Currently using a vortex 1-6 but in hindsight the extra cost over the 1-4 is hard to justify, but the reticle is 100% better on the 1-6. If I was to do it all over again I'd probably go with the Trijicon Accupoint, nice simple reticle and very nice glass for the price.

How would it compare speed-wise to something like an Aimpoint PRO? What about a speed comparison with a short, slim profile dot like a Razor or STS/RTS?

Some clarification: Not looking for a 1-4/1-6 or any other long tube option. Looking for a plain, simple, quality dot to grow into. Following the advice of a very good shooter - "Stop experimenting and just get what the champions use" - and in this game, on short distances it's a C-More in 4MOA or something similar.

Also did anyone have any experiences with the Delta Point? I never thought I'd say this about a Leupy but there were lots of online reviews stating that they received a defective product... But those who received a working unit were uber-happy with it.

Are you talking matches or stages?

If matches then you are good to use something like the Spitfire.

I you want something for short range stages then unless you want to go to Open Division you will need to stay with an Iron for your short range work.

I really fell in love with the Diamond head flipout 45 degree pop out sites.

I can't speak to the other optics that you mention here!

I do know the "Donut of Death" reticle on the Spitfire is awesome! I use the outer ring for anything from 2-60 yards....anything in the donut has a hole. Very....very fast. Beyond that the 1 moa dot is great for shooting small targets like bowling pins out to 100 yards, and have been shooting gongs at the range out to 300 with no problem. A 3 or 4 moa dot will obscure smaller targets.

Also, being a prism sight, sometimes it is nice just using a black dot, but you also get the ability to use red or green dot, which are both daylight visible, if you so desire.

Another optic coming online soon is the Burris AR 1X....something to consider....the reticle would be even more useful past 200 yards....IMHO

Thanks for the info guys... Here's some clarifying info.. The club I'll be joining has about 15 action ranges, going from 30yds to 90yds. They throw one IPSC mini-rifle match a month. Don't expect to see anything smaller than normal IPSC targets beyond 50yds. If I go to other clubs, whether it's up north or in Peru or Argentina, I don't expect to see much of a difference.. Pistol/shotgun-oriented facilities so short distances. I will be shooting open since it's IPSC and any glass = open but I don't see a benefit in using magnified optics at such short ranges other than cross-training for centerfire and 2 major drawbacks (speed/weight).

One of the top guys in the MR game (globally) runs a 4MOA railway, but I'm not sold od C-More's durability, plus iirc those run some weird, hard to find batteries. That's why I was looking for something similar but more rugged and running common batteries. The Spitfire does look appealing though....
