Rifle or pistol for beginner?

I have almost everything in the basement already except the dies set...just too lazy to set em up:redface:

BTW, I'm going to reload .223 which I shoot both semi-auto and bolt guns, 9mm and .45 auto for handguns.

:)nn:)...

"...both semi-auto and bolt guns..." Semi's require full length resizing every time. Bolt actions can be neck sized. It's not a bad idea to use different brands of brass for each. However, if you plan on using the same brass in both rifles(lots of shooters do that), you'll have to FL resize when you load for one or the other anyway.
Carbide sizer die and taper crimping only for your 9mm and .45.
What you load first depends on what you shoot most. If you don't have a manual, buy one and read it. They have a how-to chapter.

Yup what he said...

I'm farely new to this "hobby", although it's more of a lifestyle. ANYWAY i suggest reloading pistol ammunition first. I found pistol rounds were a great introduction to the more precise rifle reloading. A good friend of mine once said "if you can make a rum and coke on the rocks, you can reload ammo" but i will add a little wisedome of my own... don't mix the two...

Be safe reloading eyewear is key when priming, you just never know

It would depend on what you shoot the most.

Personally, I would choose pistol reloading first, because I shoot more pistol ammo than rifle. Also, pistol reloading is easier- no case lube required with carbide dies and no trimming required.
