I painted my 700LTR recently.. quite simple really, just time consuming (It will be the same for you regardless if you do it yourself or get it done by a pro) This way is just a lot cheaper..

I had heard from someone a while ago there was a guy in Edmonton who does stuff like that. I think his name was Barret or something like that. Maybe somebody else can help me on this.

I tried it on my son's airsoft rifle, it was easy to get great results. I just used a couple of twigs to get a bit of a pattern. I used the camo paints from Canadian Tire olive grean, flat black. The camo paint is much more durable than ordinary spray paint.
