There isn't a single powder in common with either the .444 or .45-70 and the .454. There are .444 and .45-70 handgun loads though. Still no commonality. Has to do with case capacity.
Follow your manual religiously.
Q: you aren't suggesting just removing the powder from one cartridge, and just putting into a different cartridge, without knowing what powder it is, or how much, etc?
I hope not, just looking for clarification on your question.
I just wanted to know if anyone has experemented with rifle powder in a handgun cartridge(i.e. 454 Casull) shot out of a rifle, I suggested the 444 and 45-70 due to their straight wall cases, albeit they hold more powder.
