rifle registration question

I recently went about registering a couple of rifles that I bought that werent preveously registered . Spoke with the verifier then completed it online , one of them went thru ok , the other is under review . Got my certificate in the mail for the one that passed , but no info on the other ? Should i be concerned or do they jerk everyone around from time to time ?

Phone them and ask, and keep asking, if they've got anything to tell you, I'm sure they will.

The review may be because the information was changed on the new certificate it usually adds a week or two to the timing, don't get to worried about it as it will still show up in the mail.

You can go to the website and watch your status. I had one that took 6 months! Phoning was a complete waste of my time; all I got was that it takes a lot of time and resources to register a Cooey.

I had my 8mm BRNO Mauser take a long time too...almost 6 months. I finally received a letter saying I needed to call them immediately! I was thinking "what could be wrong?" I spoke to a lady there and she asked me if it was a BRNO Mauser and asked me if it had serial number ###X. I said yes. She says thank you. You will be receiving you card soon!

She was ready to hang up and I'm thinking hold on there! I stopped her asking if something had been wrong? She said no. So why the verification? Apparently, the serial number had already been used on another gun and they needed to talk to me to be sure if the info was correct.

So hang in there. It could be anything and not necessarily something wrong on your part.

17 months on a Ruger 220 Swift. Thought that was excellent service from the Government of Canada.
