Rifle vs carbine buffer tubes and collapsible stocks.

Greetings, I have a Colt AR15A4 and I'm considering putting an adjustable stock on it. I've seen the rifle described as a carbine on irunguns where I purchased it. Problem is, it seems that there aren't many options for adjustable stocks for rifle length buffer tubes (Magpul stocks in the ~$100 range in particular) but I'm not sure if that's what my rifle length AR15A4 has, since it's described as a carbine in some instances. Could someone please educate me . . . ? I haven't found a conclusive answer using the Google.

if you wana go that configuration put a carbine buffer tube and make sure you use a carnine spring and buffer id say and H2 or H3 dont put the rifle buffer or spring in you will damage your rifle lots of discussion on M4 .com and ar-15.com hope it helps oh and mite wana use a heavy stock to balance the ar-15 gona be front heavy the magpul UBR wood be perfect
or if you want the best get the voltor A5 buffer tube spring and buffer will work like a charm

Typically carbine is used to describe rifles with shorter barrels in the case AR15 that is anything shorter than 16", The carbine reference you saw on Irunguns was probably just a simple mistake.

Currently no one makes a collapsible rifle length stock, so you will have to switch over to carbine extension tube, spring and H2 buffer, you will also need a castle nut, back plate and a wrench. be sure the specification of the stock and the extension tube are the same, either Mil spec. or Commercial spec., there is no clear advantage of using one spec over the other, all other parts are compatible between the two specs.
