I have an 870 with a 20" smooth bore barrel. If I install a rifled choke, can I use Sabot non-rifled slugs that are designed for a rifled barrel? If so, what choke do you recommend?

Yes, that's what the rifled screw in choke tube was designed for.There is no choice of choke in a rifled choke tube that i'm aware of. If there is, i would imagine IC would be the choice.
