Rifled sight accuracy

Can rifled sights (factory) attaced to the barrel have any ill effects on accuracy, should I remove them from the barrel or leave them on as I will never use them? I understand its not a long range precision gun (243 win) but I want the best accuracy I can get.

I doubt it will affect the accuracy of a factory barrel.

If the sights are not in the way of mounting the scope, I say leave them on. I would hate to be on a hunt 1200 miles from home with a broken scope and a good set of iron sights sitting in a junk drawer on my work bench.

Yup. Use the sights to sight in, before installing the scope.
