Rifled slugs in an 870 30"barel with full chock???

I've got the Remington 870 Expree SuperMagnum with a 30 inch barrel with full chock tube.....is it safe to fire rifled slugs (Factory Win. PowerPoint 1.oz)???

.....or do I have to replace the chock tube with another like IC, M, or C.

I've put a few slugs through my mossberg 500, It has a 28in fully choked barrel , I haven't had any problems.

You can shoot slugs through a full choke with no problems. You'll probably get better performance from an Improved Cylinder choke.

I had very good accuracy with my fixed full choke 870 and Foster type slugs. The "new" full chokes (not turkey chokes) are looser than they used to be. You should find that your gun will shoot well with that screw in full rem choke.
