rifles of crossfire trail movie

was just curious what rifles were used in that movie? i know tom selleck used a 76 winchester, but at the beginning he had a single shot, i am curious to know if anyone knows what it was? most interesting, the hired killer dorn, had some sort of bolt action, anyone know what that was?

If Selleck "Quigley" had a single shot, I bet it was a Sharps.

IRL, Selleck is a HUGE fan of the Shiloh Sharps rifles. I'll bet it was one of those.

I thought it was a Model 1886 Winchester in the Musket configuration, can't swear to it as I haven't seen the movie in over a year. Good reason to go watch it again!

I think the lever gun he used was an 1876 Winchester very similar to the original carbine as issued to the NWMP back in the Rebellion days.

"Crossfire Trail" (TV movie) is the complete name, based on a Louis L'Amour book.

I remember an article about Selleck's firearms in either "Shoot" or "Guns of the Old West", that appeared last year, or the year before. They spoke about not only the ones in "Crossfire Trail", but his other movies. The focus was mainly on the pistols he used: custom made Colt conversions by R&D Guns.

Mr. Selleck is quite particular about the firearms he appears with in his movies.

Tom used a Shiloh built '74 Sharps...was on display at their shop in Big Timber in Sept '05....my '74 will be here soon!
