Right place right time!

Here we go. First batch of 25 out of the tumbler, still need to be sized though. Only 60 more batches to go..................

mmmm shiny......that was a fun day!

They haven't had a fun day till they start resizing that stuff. By the time you're done resizing that much brass, you'll wish you never started. When we were building dummy rounds, it was a serious amount of work. You guys have your work cut out for you.

Do you ever have anything positive to say? I mean come on....isnt the prep work half the fun. ;)

Its not work, this is a hobby. If it too much work for you, you should find another hobby like bingo.

For a lot of you, I guess finding a ton of 50cal brass is somewhat of a treasure, but for others like myself, I don't look forward to resizing a bunch of old brass to turn into either dummy rounds or otherwise. 20 or 30 rounds, ya it's ok but full length resizing 50cal that came from something with a generous chamber, have a blast and a bunch of beer. I'd far rather shoot it then resize it. Out of curiousity, do either of you have a 50cal? Otherwise this is a lot like masterbation without the reward. Since I do have access to a couple of 50s, you may or may not be in my shoes.

When it comes to reloading for my 338LM AI, that's half the fun because I'm only neck sizing and I've never had to trim my brass. I don't know of anyone that looks forward to full length resizing their 50cal brass or case trimming for that matter. If you have never done it, trust me, you have absolutely no idea what it's like. If anyone ever wants to find out, I'll definitely put him to work resizing more brass then they ever wish to resize, followed by wiping all the lube off the casings just to turn around and run them through the manual case trimmer. I do them on the lathe but wheres the character building lesson in that.

Yes there is a .50 to go with the brass. We are also thinking about maybe building a 416, we'll see.

If I had the oportunity to clean and resize as much brass as you guys have in order to link it all together and burn through it with a Browning machine gun or something a little more modern, I'd be cleaning and resizing my brains out just because I've never had the pleasure of burning up a belt load of 50. To someone that has done it before, like someone I know, he'd probably say it was overated. I'd still have to see for myself.

If Accurate Bullet Company makes similar bullets for the 416 as they did for the 50, I'd be impressed. While out shooting one of the 50cal rounds whistled through a 3/8" swinging 8" gong like it wasn't even there at about 850yds.

I have run as many as 1000 rnds thru the M2 on many occasions and had the opportunity the destroy a barrel during a night shoot it is awesome but I have seen what can go terribly wrong as well and it aint pretty

Yup Running the whole 9 yards through Ma can be fun, even more so if someone else is paying for the ammo, and linking the belts.:D
