Rimfire barrel length

Hello,

I’m sure this has been beat to death, so I appreciate any clarification!

I bought a 10/22 take down with plans on replacing the barrel with one of those 9’’ bull barrels.

I know you can’t cut down a factory barrel, but would the rifle still be NR with the factory 9” barrel with a OAL greater then 26”?

Yes, as long as in its shortest fireable state it is over 660 mm.

One thing to keep in mind in BC is our hunting regulations are different then other provinces and guns with barrels less then 12" are considered handguns.

Stupid but something to think about if you want to hunt with it.
