Rimfire casing coasters

Been looking for ideas on how to use Rimfire casing and came up with the idea of making drink coasters.

First mold i got was a little small but the second one makes a great coaster.

What would be willing to pay for one. Cost of material is almost $10 per coaster (the resin is not cheap)

What kind of resin are you using? I cant see those coasters needing more than 2oz each. Some resins sell on Amazon for less than $0.50 an ounce.

Stuff from Michaels. Each coaster is approx 4 oz to fill.

Send me the link to that .50 an once resin, I haven't seen anything below $30 for kit

Great job and awesome idea! As usual we have the " KNOW IT ALL PEANUT GALLERY"! Volume wise you are spot on with 4 oz per coaster taking the average size plus the height of the empty average empty 22 rimfire cartridge. I could waste the time with the formula for volume of a cylinder but I wont. Check out West Epoxy system on line. It is used in industry as well as marine applications and is an excellent product that's probably tougher and clearer than what ur presently using. I hate to be the guy who rains on the parade but a coaster should have some ability to absorb or contain the moisture/condensation from a cold drink. I applaud the effort, really I do, but it doesn't actually look like it would work well as a coaster.

Not a problem. Invert them, open ends up, for use as coasters. To empty any accumulated moisture, hold them open end down over a sink.
