While I don't shoot rimfire only,
I have to say rimfire is some of the most fun you can have. They're extremely accurate, low recoil and fairly cheap to shoot.

Originally I had zero interest in rimfires. Now I own four of them. Some of the most rewarding shooting I've done has been with rimfires.

X2 for the above reasons but also because it is the best way to improve your shooting technique. IMHO every shooter should have at least one good .22 rf and should shoot 3 or 4 times as many rounds thru it as thu their centerfire.

I tell this to lots of people, some even believe me!

X3 When I want a fun morning at the range my pump .22 and the reactive targets at the Brandon Wildlife Range are just the ticket.

My handgun club is rimfire only, so all my pistols are rimfires.
I don't hunt, so I never found a good reason to start shooting centerfire.
As a kid, the neighbors didnt mind if we shot rimfire at our summer place, but shotguns or centerfire would mean a complaint to the RCMP. I shot air rifles constantly, and shot my dad's .22 every chance I got. As soon as I was old enough, I started buying my own rimfires. I bought a few shotguns and centerfires but I just never seemed to use them. I just kept buying more and more rimfires. I am 43 now and I havent fired anything other than a rimfire in years.
