Hopefully I get some help on this.

I cannot decide on the scope mount style to go with on my Ruger 10/22 it is a competition model so it has an integrated 30 moa rail on the rifle. I am trying to decide if rings or a one piece is better. If one piece would it be cantilever styles (seems the most common) or regular ?

Just trying to think out my options. Photo of stock rifle to get an idea.

If you have your scope you can figure out where it needs to sit on the gun for a start... sometimes cantilevered mounts can help but the one piece units were mostly aimed at AR type receivers where people didn't or don't want the front ring to be forward on the foreend part of the rail.

Some rings and mounts will also give you more MOA adjustment but a 30 base and a 34mm tube would five you lot's of elevation.

What scope are you going to use?

If you get a chance, check out the Audere line of rings and one piece mounts. I just picked up a pair of their "entry level" rings ($149.00), and am very impressed by the quality. I also wanted these for a .22 PRS rifle. Hirsch Precision in Nova Scotia (902-829-2932) carries the Audere line.

The mount will depend on the amount of travel you have in your optic. On my rimfire PRS gun my optic has 32mil or 110MOA of internal adjustment. I am running a 40MOA rail and a 20MOA Spuhr mount. This gives me 30.5 mils of scope travel with a 54y zero.

A popular mounting solution for rimfire PRS is the Burris XTR Signature rings. They allow for the shooter to use different shims to give between 0 and 40moa of adjustment in the rings.
