Looking for a .22LR or .22WMR revolver. I know ruger has one but I really don't like the grips/handle on it. I'm looking for something more like the gp100 has. Is there anything out here like that?

the S&W617 looks like it might fit the bill but does anyone carry that in canada?

The M-17 S&W is one of the best .22 revolver ever mass produced, and that gun fitted with the K frame Hogue grips you describe will provide all you could hope for in terms of feel and accuracy. Astorarms, they advertise a large selection of S&W handguns in the current Access, but when I tried to get their webpage through google, I couldn't open it.

prohib barrel?? (4"??) I thought they had short barrels. (maybe its another gun I'm thinking about)

The older ones were a bit short but the new model 4.25" has been selling in the US for a while now and should be up our way in a few months......

Sorry to go off topic, but you could consider getting the GP100 instead of a .22
If you reload .38sp is incredibly cheap and you won't get bored of it as quick as .22
Just a thought

A few months you say. Any idea as to what they will be selling for?

I may have to put off getting my M&P, if this is true.

Well it's $689 suggested US retail so if it follows other Ruger pricing trends in Canada it will proably be about $689 Cdn for us.
Ruger has been swamped with orders lately but I'm hoping they will come north soon!

I know Epps has a bunch of Charter Arms revolvers in stock. Lots of .22LR, .22Mag as well as .357's and .44Specials. They are all 5" Stainless models. I'm not very familiar with the Charter Arms line but if you're looking for a double action rimfire revolver then they might be worth a look. They run about $450 new so you could grab one and play with it while you're waiting for the Rugers to show up!
