Just thought Id share a little video review of the Hawke Varmint 3-12-44 SF. Nice little scope for the money with a great ballistic program on the computer and available for free download for the Iphone. Pardon for the stupid shaky video, the Youtube editor really did something goofy.

Cheers!!

I have the same in 2.5-10x44 and IT ROCKS!!!

Whats this ballistics program though?

You can download the program off the Hawke website for the PC and the apps store has the ballistic program for the Iphone. The program gives you the yardage and holdover points for any load you can buy or plug in yourself.

Hey Thanks man, I just edited my post as the vid progressed, lol

but I will definitely have to check that out, I didn't even know about it till now. :)

Nice to hear that your liking the Hawke so far. I keep hearing good things about them. Maybe enough to pick one up for myself tomorrow.

Its always good when they come with a good warranty too.

I have the 4.5-14 SF. Great optic for the price point. I've had mine a year now and I'm very happy with it, purchased it at Gagnon. I like the resettable/lockable turrets, the glass is clear and bright and it holds zero perfectly well.

Good to hear results like this, I have been looking around for a while for an Optic for my CZ 455 Thumbhole - I want a decent rimfire scope as I have dealt too much with cheap stuff and I think my rifle deserves better. I was looking for a scope capable of easy 100yd shooting. Trying to keep within the $200 price point.

I have been looking at

Hawke Varmint
Vortex Diamondback

If there is any other opinions please let me know.

Got myself a 4-16x44 Varmint on my 223 cal and I like it. After playing around with it I found the eye relief to be alittle finicky/touchy. I dont notice as much now, maybe Im getting use to it?

Where did you get it ?

I know I have asked before and was provided a link but it is only to the 2.5x10 model. I would prefer the 3x12 or the 4x16 if possible but cannot find a site or local store that sells the brand.

I bought it used locally. There is a store in town that has a couple but they dont ship anything.

I thought D & L airguns had all but the highest power one

Just checked and they do. DOnt know if they have any in stock though. You would have to email them. I know they have pretty good shipping rates too
