I was hoping to get suggestions for a .22LR rifle scope and any retailers that carry said scope.

I'm looking for something

-in or around the 3-9x variable power range
-mil dot reticle
-mil adjustments on the turrets

no preference to FFP or SFP.

Appreciate the help, thanks!

Bushnell

I am having the same quandary. I have a Bushnell Legend 5-15 with adjustable objective and mil-dots on my 17HMR and it is terrific. I went to Wholesale today planning to get the same thing in 3-9 for my 10/22. To my surprise the Legend 3-9's don't come with either mil-dots or AO. I ended up with the Sportsman 3-9 AO with target turrets but no mildots. We'll see

What's your budget? Its hard to get something like mildots and targets turrets for less than $400 in a decent quality scope. Maybe a Bushnell 3200 5-15 tactical? Depends on how serious you are in wanting a quality scope with good adjustments.

An AO on a 3-9? you don't see that very often. If your budget can handle it I would go with more magnification, once you use high magnification, it's hard to go back to 3-9, you can't hit what you can't see.

Gopher's Beware

TASCO 3-9x56mm in green/red illuminated mil-dot. Got mine from Ebay and I love it on my 22LR rifle. 4,000 rounds and still ticking, for 45 USD devilvered!
Sorry for the pic's as it is my crappy cell phone;

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I suppose I should have been a little more clear regarding my budget. I'm willing to spend a fair bit for a high quality scope, but certainly not in the thousand dollar range.
As long as it's not beyond that, I'm a firm believer in "You get what you pay for" at least with regard to optics.

Appreciate all the suggestions

Basically what you need is something with AO, decent glass and a reasonable amount of magnification. 4-16 power is probably a good bet for a do-all optic.

One of the Falcon scopes would probably work great for what your doing. Finding one used is possible but most people seem to be holding onto them.

Cheers,
Grant

You must mean a 6500, Mark 4's are in the thousand dollar price range, lotta money for a 22 scope. FS

Nope. I just bought one two weeks ago for well under a grand from a dealer. And no it was not a clone. Ask Dogleg. He can vouch for the guy we buy from as well. He is a very reputable dealer in my area.

Edit:
I should have said 6-24X40 4200 for the $150 more. It is about $250 more than the 4-16X40 4200. I have the 6-24 on a .17HMR and the 4-12 on a .22LR and forgot which one was more money. I have the Mark 4 4-14X40 on a .204 Ruger.

I've had good success with a couple of Bushnell 3200 4-12 AO scopes on rimfires. You can get it with a plain duplex reticle or a ballistic reticle. Turrets aren't target, but they are finger-adjustable. Decent glass for the money, and not too big and heavy. Another option, but twice the price, would be the Leupold Mark 2 in either 4-12 or 6-18. This would give you the target turrets and mildots, and is quite light and compact for the magnification. I'm running the 6-18 on my .223 and am very happy with it.

Bushnell Elite 3200 tac 5-15 ao is probably best choice but more power than you wanted . Use mine on 1022 gopher gun.typically im at 7 anyway. so the extra power means nothing how often are u at 3 power ???
