Rimfire Stg-44

I wouldn't shoot a rimfire StG-44. It'd be almost disrespectful to the gun.

It was revolutionary because of the round it fired, and that's basically the reason. You take that away, and you don't have that much.

Well, technically it isn't an StG-44, it's a repro made especially for .22, shooting it would be no different than shooting a .22 cal Lee Enfield.

If I had the money, I'd get them both.

Wow. I didn't know it wasn't REALLY an StG-44.

It's the closest thing I'll ever get to one. Same thing.

No need to get all antsy in your pantsy.

A repro is a repro is a repro.

I'd still want one though.

That'll be 3G's... Thanks, but no thanks.
Exactly. If you're putting that kind of dough down, you may as well buy the real ammo and start reloading.

If it's a rimfire shooting spree you want, just go out and pick up a 10/22 with a 100 round drum.

That's true, but people with plenty of disposable income might want one.

Unfortunately I'm not one of them. :(

The non-restricted aspect is appealing...
But for the 3k, you could probably get close to one of the new semi-auto 7.92 x 33 ones (I think its x 33).

Yea, but .22LR is 500 rounds for $20. How many of the 7.97mm rounds can you get for $20? Two? Maybe three?

I'd happily pick up a .22 version, just for the sheer fun factor... plus going out partridge hunting full German gettup would just be a ball. :dancingbanana:

See a bird... "ACHTUNG! HALT!" *PAK-PAK-PAK-PAK!*

But then you have to watch your back for hunters dressed up as Russian soldiers with their mosins and SVTs!

Well, considering I am one of those freaks who has the Russian gettup and weapons, I think I'll be alright... I haven't seen anyone else who does it. :D
