I've got a Bergara B-14R that be set up for gopher dumpin' in the prairies as well as plinkin' games, but the bugger hits the 10-12 lb weight range pretty quick
when the optics & bipod be added. It's a "work the village" gopher rifle from set positions in the field & not the kind of beasty for walk & shoot missions over many
acres of land.
My go to sporting .22's are the CZ 452 Lux & Scout rifles. They shoot as tight on small furry things out a tad past 100 yds as my Bergara using the ammo they like.
I would really like a Rem 700 platform sporter with titanium barreled action in a walnut, CDL style stock with flush fit magazines become a reality, but hard to say at
this juncture if it will ever occur.
