Ring advice

I am in the process of mounting a Super sniper scope on a rem 700. I have a Near mfg base that I am installing. However the set of burris rings I have just wont slip over the base and I do not want to force them. Can you reccomend a reasonably priced set of rings that will fit over the Near base. The base appears to be weaver style. Also I am assuming the super sniper requires a 30 mm ring.

I'd bet that base is 1913 'picitinny' and not Weaver. Don't ditch the base, its excellent quality. Get some decent rings such as TPS, Near, Nightforce or the like.

I have to agree, the TPS are the best you are going to get for the money.
